How to filter clients for mailing

Step by step show how to download from bot file with clients, filter, download back and start mailing list

Let’s start with "Mailing lists"

In the upper right corner click on the button "Create a mailing list" and in the field "Subscriber filter" select "Clients from a file"

Next click on "download the client list". Run Excel. In it we are interested in "Master of texts (import)". In different versions of Excel it looks different. This example was executed in Microsoft Office Excel 2007. Go to the "Data" tab and in the upper left corner press "From text"

We select, downloaded by us earlier list of clients who have communicated with bot. "Master of texts (import) Step 1" will be launched. Set the settings as in Figure 4 and click on

In the second step, tick "semicolon", click further (Figure 5)

In the third step, set the settings as in Figure 6 and press the button "Done"

The next window will appear with the question "Where to put the data?", just press "Ok" and see something like this (Figure 7)

Now we need to filter the database and choose who we want to send the newsletter to. Filtering can occur by date, messenger, name, ID, etc. In this example, let’s leave only a few customers who previously wrote bot in telegram and one who wrote in online chat, the rest delete (Figure 8)

Now save our file and select "CSV (comma separators)" (Figure 9)

If next Excel will ask questions and ask "Still save file?" everywhere agree and click "Yes". Now back to Salebot in the "Mailing Lists" section, press the button ". csv file with client identifiers" and select the file with filtered client base (Figure 10)

Create a mailing list, add files if necessary, and specify other options. You can read more about each field in the mailing list here.

If everything is full, press the "Done" button at the bottom and check the result (Figure 11)
